Mathew & Phajja Boone are a happily married couple who have a deep passion for food. In all of our cooking love is the number one ingredient. Thus, Recipes for Love was born. We use our God given talent to cook for people, and in doing so we aim to spread love and positivity to everyone we can.
At Recipes for Love, we believe that food brings healing, laughter and love. Our goal is to use delicious food to inspire you to love yourself, love what you do and love others. After all, the way to a persons heart is through their stomach!
Phajja Boone was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. Growing up learning family recipes passed down from generations, Phajja provides authentic Cajun flare along with beautiful presentation in her cuisine. She completed the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation Apprenticeship program in 2020, earning her Certified Culinarian (CC) and Certified Sous Chef (CSC) from the American Culinary Federation. She thrived in the program as her leadership and culinary skills were on full display. The same year she graduated with her Associates Degree in Culinary Arts. Her hobbies include dancing, reading and always being the life of the party.
Mathew Boone was born and raised in Hampton Roads, Virginia. Even at a young age, Mathew always had a natural passion for cooking. Some of his favorite shows growing up were MasterChef, The Next Food Network Star, and The Best Thing I Ever Ate. He completed the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation Apprenticeship program in 2020, earning his Certified Culinarian (CC) and Certified Sous Chef (CSC) from the American Culinary Federation. He graduated with his Associates Degree in Culinary Arts that same year. His hobbies include all things involving basketball, listening to music/podcasts, and he is an avid fan of Star Wars.
